Those Canaan Days

Hello and Salutations to Friends and Family, and anyone else who's read Charlotte's Web. ;)

This week was full and good. Elder Mazzei and I were able to meet with a few members this week, which is always such an uplifting experience for me. I have grown to love these members and to be so interested in their stories and their triumphs and tragedies. We all are so different, but the Lord has placed us exactly where we are with the people we are with because we have experiences and anecdotes that will help others to come closer to Christ and to see the purpose of this life. Our lives themselves are stories that are being written, and we choose who comes in to beautify the story and add richness and depth. That includes people in your life, but don't forget to add Christ into your story. He will cross your t's and dot your i's, and He will add a comma exactly where it's needed, and He will help you write the best story of a life you could ever read. When you are at the end, and you've done all you could, you will look back and see that you had let His hand reach into every area of your life, and Life sprang from His fingertips wherever He was permitted to enter your life. It will be incredible. :) I challenge you to let Christ into your story this week.

I know that strengths and weaknesses were also an inspired part of why the Prophet, Russel M. Nelson, made the changes this past general conference to Ministering instead of Home Teaching. All the tools we need to strengthen our wards and neighborhoods and communities are right there already in the community. We just need to come together and see each other as the Lord sees us, and we will reach great things. :)

Elder Mazzei and I were also able to go to the temple in Freiberg on Saturday, which was a much needed and very refreshing visit to the temple. We enjoyed the time with the members and were able to bond with them in a special way that only the temple can do. I testify of the blessings of the temple, and if you're waiting on the blessings of the temple, if you could be ready to receive them, I challenge you all to make yourselves ready to receive those blessings and to receive them as soon as possible. This is the Lord's greatest goal for us, is that we may be able to know the mysteries and doctrine of His kingdom and become like Him as we go our ways on this earth. If you already are worthy for the blessings of the temple, I challenge you to take time to visit. You will leave blessed, refreshed, and, if you allow it, filled with the Spirit. :)

We also just had transfers, and I am going to have Elder Mazzei as my companion this next transfer, which is his last transfer. I'm very excited for what we will do together to help the Lord's work here in Berlin. :)

Thank you so much for your emails, letters, and advice. I love you all, and I'm so grateful for all you do for me. You are so important to me, and I want the best for you all. :) Please take time to be holy this week. You will not regret it.

Liebe Gruesse,

Elder Peck
